New #23 Foundation 485 Cedar and Black Walnut with Cutaway

£3,250.00
sold out

This is a Foundation 485 model with a cutaway, made from Western Red Cedar and Black Walnut for the back and sides. This classic combination of tone woods produce a deep, warm timbre to the instrument, with the cutaway allowing improved access across the fingerboard. This would be more than suitable for a fingerstyle player, with the cedar having a lovely complexity of tones for the player to explore.

The head veneer, bound fingerboard, and pinless bridge are made from Exotic Ebony, which has a lot more colour and character compared to jet black ebony. The guitar is then bound in maple, creating a timeless and clean look.

Finished in oil and wax, it keeps the instrument light and resonant, with a soft satin sheen. 36% Nickel Silver fret wire was used, this material is almost as hard wearing as stainless steel and will provide longer lasting frets. Cosmo Black Gotoh 510 machine heads with 1:21 ratio are use to give super smooth tuning, and a final touch of exotic ebony is used for the end graft of the instrument.

Comes with a JKM branded Hiscox Pro II Hard case, and is fitted with a K&K Pure Mini with volume control.
